Production
We produce two grades of sugar, M-30, and S-30, which is of export quality with an International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA) value is less. We use Sulphitation Process for sugar production, where the clarified sugarcane juice is treated and mixed with Sulphur Di-oxide in tanks and the outcome is known as ‘Sulphured Syrup’ which is further sent to be converted as sugar crystals.Sugar crystals of grade S-30 come in 0.6 to 0.8 mm size and M-30 in 1.2 to 1.70 mm. S-30 grade sugar has polarization above 99.8, the moisture of about 0.03% and SO2 content below 20 ppm.M-30 grade sugar has polarization above 99.8, the moisture ofabout 0.02 to 0.03% and SO2 content below 20 ppm.
Old 30,000 LPD Distillery plant, which was commissioned in 1991 and supplied has recently modernized with continuous / Fed batch Fermentation and multipressure distillation with integrated evaporation for spent wash reduction. The plant has to manufacture 90 lakh liters rectified spirit/ Extra Neutral Alcohol and Absolute Alcohol (Ethanol).
We established our first co-generation plant in the year 2006 with 12 MW electricity generation and inducing second co-generation plant in 2016, we generate 28 MW of electricity, from which 11MW of energy is used in house for various products; surplus energy of 17MW is exported to the Government of Maharashtra, (MERC).With an average of 2.2 million quintals of sugar production every year, there is also relative bagasse residue to it.To minimize wastage and pollution, we actuated consuming bagasse to run mills and generate steam to run the boilers and turbines.
